I should have made the point that there are probably more quotable lines in it than any other sitcom, thinking about it.

I'll look out for that episode when it comes round on GOLD, Matt. That's really why it's so good - it's a cartoon situation played for real, as opposed to most sitcoms, which get it the other way round.Phil Normanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05506041961526914294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2524462613774767993.post-23156154953546770772009-05-15T09:01:00.000-07:002009-05-15T09:01:00.000-07:00A touching and brilliantly observed post as ever, ...A touching and brilliantly observed post as ever, Phil. Once I'd read the first two lines of your entry, I really wanted to find "I am unable to get past the angle of the attic" as one of your quirky tags at the end. Not to worry...

Odd that you should mention Kirk St Moritz, given that the excellent Peter Blake was in the Circles (yes!) episode which I hold in the highest regard, as the work colleague who tricks Martin into believing he spent the night and did rude things to a loose woman during a work trip away, only for Martin's sublime morals to kick in and confess all when he got home. The respect Martin has for his wife and that Paul has for both sorts the problem out and it is just beautifully, beautifully done.Matthew Ruddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05842392964784000029noreply@blogger.com
